Heidi Woodward Sheffield
Heidi Woodward Sheffield's creative background includes 16 years working as an art director, copywriter, and designer creating print, online and television campaigns for Fortune 500 clients. She has received recognition from the Addy Awards, The New York Festivals, and top honors from the ALA for advertising.
However, Heidi's greatest love is creating children's stories. And she's already being acknowledged for her work; in particular, from SCBWI, where she placed Top 10 in the NY Illustrators' Showcase, was awarded the Don Freeman Grant for Illustrators (Runner-up), and two sponsored picture book mentorships.
When she's not drawing pictures or writing stories, Heidi enjoys wearing boa constrictors, cracking jokes with her husband Ray, and having tea parties with her daughter Lauren. She also collects fortune cookie sayings, hoping that her lucky number comes up sometime soon - though she realizes in many ways, it already has.
