Anna Ouchchy
Anna Ouchchy (pronounced O-shee) has always loved nature and poetry. In third grade, she wrote a poem about a tree that made her teacher cry (hopefully, in a good way). She has worked as a magazine editor, elementary school teacher and university ESL instructor. When she isn’t writing picture books, she likes to take long walks, listen to music, meditate and eat chocolate. She lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, near the beach, with her family and a very spoiled cat.
Anna has published several articles in Highlights magazine. In 2019, she won first place in the picture book category of the SCBWI Carolinas Writing Contest. She has also been a #PBParty finalist and a winner of Vivian Kirkfield’s #50PreciousWords contest.
Anna Ouchchy is represented by Ana Crespo.
