Platte F. Clark
Platte F. Clark shares his first name with the Midwestern Platte River, which literally means “wide and shallow”. Despite that, he was able to find a woman to marry and produce seven offspring with (one of whom is also named Platte). A member of the Writer’s Guild of America, Platte has written several award winning shorts as well as adapted the best-selling novel The Best Christmas Pageant Ever for film. He graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Philosophy and an MS in English from Utah State University, and currently lives with his family in Utah.
Look for Platte's hilarious debut fantasy trilogy, launched by Bad Unicorns and Fluff Dragon (Aladdin/S & S). His Work has all of the qualities of finely-crafted MG fiction -- a great voice, imaginative plot, and twists and turns that will keep young readers looking for the sequels! Speaking of: Good Ogre, the third book in the MG Fantasy trilogy PW called “deviously enjoyable,” is available now. No fluff here!
