Cheryl MacAller

Children's Author

Cheryl became a teacher through Teach for America and spent two years teaching kindergarten on the south side of Chicago before returning home to sunny California where she has been a Pre-K - 3rd grade teacher for the past 14 years. 

As a teacher, Cheryl knows the importance of surrounding children with stories that inspire, comfort, and encourage them to explore the everyday magic of the world around them. These are the kinds of stories she strives to bring into the world.

Her manuscripts THE ELEPHANT ROAD and LITTLE EYES, BIG WORLD won 1st place at the 2017 SCBWI LA Writer's Day and 2nd runner up at the 2019 SCBWI LA Writer’s Day respectively.
