Ellen Hopkins is a poet, former freelance journalist, and the NY Times bestselling author of twenty nonfiction books for young readers, four novels for adult readers, fifteen young adult novels-in-verse and two middle grade verse novels. Her third middle grade novel will publish in 2026. After six decades in the West, Ellen recently moved with her extended family and two fabulous German shepherds to five acres of Missouri woods.
