Stacy Jensen

Former newspaper journalist Stacy S. Jensen is always searching for unique stories for children. Her search as taken her to historical sites, state and national parks, and  everyday spots like a park. 

She spends a lot of time thinking about a story and then even more time moving the words around until she believes they are just right. She does all this work knowing it’s possible the words may change again. And, she’s OK with this. 

Her debut picture book Before I Lived Here is coming in Fall 2024 from Neal Porter Books with illustrator Victo Ngai. 

When she’s not writing, she enjoys time with family, reading, and paper quilling. She loves experimenting with different s’mores combinations.

She lives in Georgia with her husband, son, and a Vizsla, who walks her humans daily. She can be found online at stacysjensen.com.
