Dow Phumiruk
Dow Phumiruk is an author and illustrator of children's books who was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She now lives with her family in Lone Tree, Colorado. She loves children and sharing stories and found her passion in creating picture books after joining the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators in 2011. She primarily works digitally (mostly because she really, really, really needs to erase sometimes) with scanned in traditional textures created with watercolor or other media. Her favorite subjects are children and animals. Dow is a general pediatrician who teaches part time in non-clinical academic medicine. She also loves to sew clothing and stuffed toys.
